In 2022, Nokia has updated its lineup, replacing numbers with letters. If earlier entry-level smartphones had names like “Nokia 1”, and flagships were designated by the numbers 7, 8 or 9, now all budget employees have the letter C in their name, mid-range smartphones are designated by the letter G, and top devices proudly wear the letter X. And as is usually the case with Nokia, the most interesting and balanced handsets belong to the middle price segment.

One of the key features of the G series is the pristine Android operating system, which means that owners of these devices receive timely updates without unnecessary ads and unnecessary applications that are often found on other devices. The second important factor is a practical approach to design and ergonomics - while many Chinese manufacturers save on materials, Nokia puts a lot of effort into creating durable and reliable devices using durable plastic, metal and soft-touch coating resistant to scratches and prints. 2022-2023 models often use recycled materials.

In other respects, the G series devices can differ greatly from each other, which is often due to a twofold difference in price. For example, the Nokia G60 is a purebred representative of the mid-range segment with a 120Hz screen, 5G support, moderately productive hardware (Snapdragon 695 + 6 GB of RAM), a triple camera, a massive Full HD+ screen, IP52 water resistance and a three-year update cycle. All in all, the Nokia G60 is a great showcase of what a typical G-background looks like. At the same time, in the ranks of the G series, you can find inexpensive devices of the Nokia G11 level, which in most respects correspond to or slightly exceed budget smartphones from the C series.
