Unlike most modern smartphones, this model does not have a touch screen and is equipped with a conventional numeric keypad. Outwardly, besides this, it also stands out with a stylish metal case. Technical specifications are quite modest in general (600 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM), but impressive enough for such a compact device. Runs under Symbian v 9.3. The package includes a 1 GB memory card.

All  specifications
The smartphone is a logical continuation of the younger "branch" of the E-series. Compared to its predecessor, Nokia E52 has become more aesthetic, the amount of metal in the case has decreased. The smartphone has a more capacious battery, according to the manufacturer working in standby mode up to 25 days (in GSM-networks).

You can find out about all the changes between the E52 and E51 in the table: comparing Nokia e51 and Nokia e52.

Frame:
  • The body of the phone is made of anodized aluminium, metal is found in the edging along the perimeter of the front part. The battery cover is also made from it.
  • The model has two colour options. Dark grey with silver elements, and brown, somewhat reminiscent of the golden version.
  • The body dimensions have changed slightly compared to the E51. The display was enlarged, due to which the manufacturer had to slightly increase the height of the case.
  • The keyboard has become more comfortable. All keys are on the same level, large in area and with a pleasant rough coating.
  • The device is equipped with a standard set of connectors: a memory card slot (accessible with the battery cover removed), a 3.5 mm headphone jack (upper end face) and a microUSB connector that serves to charge the battery and transfer data.
  • There are 4 buttons on the right side of the phone: voice recorder activation, camera activation, and volume buttons. On the left side is a microUSB slot. The bottom edge is free from connectors.
Camera:
  • The camera has a 3.2 megapixel module with a fixed focus. Indicates the thickness of the device.
  • The camera module does not protrude from the body, but at the same time, of course, there is no protective lens shutter.
Display:
  • In the E52 model, Nokia has done a good job on the display characteristics. The diagonal has increased to 2.4" (2" for the previous model), also added an accelerometer for comfortable work in a horizontal position.
Communications:
  • There are 3 operating modes for data transfer via USB.
  • The Mass Storage mode is designed to use the phone as a regular storage device (similar to a flash drive).
  • PC Suite mode - for synchronizing contacts and other information with a PC.
  • Connect PC to Web mode - to use your phone as a link between PC and the Internet.
  • The phone supports IP-telephony technology, but the use of this technology is provided only for Wi-Fi to talk using 3g will not work.
Hardware:
  • The smartphone is based on the ARM 11 processor with an increased frequency of the processor, it is 600 MHz, which is impressive for a device of this size.
  • The device has a built-in memory of 60 MB, which is expanded by a 1 GB memory card, which it comes with.
  • 128 MB of RAM, the user is provided with 40 MB.
GPS navigation:
  • The device has Ovi Maps of the new, third version installed.
  • Separately rendered mode for pedestrians, with voice prompts.
