Mobile phones with gradient
With gradient
— surfaces that have a specific appearance — with signature patterns of light and dark areas or from multi-coloured spots and stripes that smoothly merge into each other. When the angle of illumination changes (for example, due to the rotation of the phone relative to the eyes of the observer), the visible pattern also changes — it looks like the back panel of the device shimmers with different patterns and/or colours. This feature gives the phone an interesting appearance, significantly highlighting it.As for materials, the easiest way to make a gradient is a plastic or glass surface, so most cases with this feature are made from one of these materials (see “Body material (Cover)”). However, there are also metal devices with gradients — and they can be found even in the low-cost category. In addition, ceramics can have a similar surface — however, in general, it is used extremely rarely.
It is also worth noting that some phones with this feature are also classified as "unusual design" (see the relevant paragraph); however, the gradient surface itself is not really considered an unusual design.
