Nokia 8 64 GB / 4 GB
Photos 10 | Expecting restock $807.00 The return of the Nokia brand to the upper class of smartphone society. The G8 acquired the top-end hardware at the time of the announcement (a powerful Snapdragon 835 chip in conjunction with 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of permanent memory), a bright 5.3-inch screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a full set of communication modules (including NFC). But that's not all — the "two-eyed" camera on the back of the all-metal body of the model proudly flaunts the Zeiss nameplate, which indicates the use of German optics on board the Nokia 8 Dual Sim as part of the paired main camera module. Duality (13 + 13 MP) is given to the photomodule to implement the background blur function. A sensor similar in resolution is installed in front, and the device can simultaneously shoot photos and...videos on both the main and selfie cameras (Bothie mode). The rest of the attributes of a modern smartphone — a USB Type-C port, IP54 waterproofing, a fingerprint scanner and support for fast charging — are also in place. |

The return of the legendary Nokia to the global smartphone market was marked by the entry into the market of the top-end Nokia 8 Dual Sim in every sense, with which the Finnish company once again confirmed that it was premature and wrong to dismiss it.
Photo and video
The model received the main and front cameras with a resolution of 13 MP. The main camera uses 2 sensors, colour and monochrome, which, together with Carl Zeiss optics, allows you to achieve the highest image quality, accurate colour reproduction and image saturation.
The front camera has a 78.4º wide-angle lens, phase detection autofocus, and also takes good pictures in low light using the display flash.
The super feature of Nokia 8 is the ability to simultaneously take photos and videos of both cameras: front and rear, provided by Dual Sight technology, which is an innovation in the field of mobile filming.
Presentability
IPS screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a diagonal of 5.3" is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass v5.0. The quality of the picture is beyond praise, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. But the ratio of the display to the body is only 69%, which once again emphasizes the excessive severity of the design of the Finnish flagship. The case has splash protection IP-54, but you should not abuse this advantage.
"Iron"
The smartphone runs on a super economical Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 Kryo 8-core processor, has 4 GB of LDDR 4X RAM, and gives out 175K points in the Antutu performance test, thus getting into the TOP 10 most performant smartphones in 2017.
The model also supports memory expansion through microSD cards up to 256 GB, Bluetooth 5.0 technology, a fingerprint scanner and the entire set of standard sensors and options, including NFC.
battery life
A non-removable battery with a capacity of 3090 mAh with intensive use is discharged in 12-14 hours, which is a very decent indicator of battery life for such a performant device. In addition, with Quick Charge 3.0 technology, charging up to 60 – 70% takes about an hour.
With all the pluses, we, of course, tried to find cons in Nokia 8. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't find it. Even the price around 700 USD looks quite adequate against the background of the same Samsung S8 or iPhone 8.
