Smartphones with HD displays
HD resolution (720)
— screens that are conditionally included to the HD 720p standard. The standard frame size in it is 1280x720 pixels. However, in the case of smartphones, HD solutions include all displays which smaller side is less than 1080 pixels (less than Full HD). At the same time, the specific set of options is very diverse: it can vary from 1024 to 2142 pixels on the larger side and from 720 to 876 pixels on the smaller side. Screens with a frame size larger than standard are usually labeled HD+.In general, HD resolution is considered relatively low by the standards of modern smartphones. It is found mainly among low-cost devices, occasionally – in the initial layers of the middle segment of mobile devices.
