Graphics Cards Gigabyte series Mining
Gigabyte Mining Series
Despite the fact that graphics card manufacturers invest in advertising their gaming platforms and do not officially support cryptocurrency mining, it is not profitable for them to turn a blind eye to miners. Therefore, there is a separate line of specialized mining cards on the showcase of most major players. Most manufacturers had the same cards as before, only with a reduced warranty and a reduced number of outputs for connecting monitors that miners do not need.
In the case of Gigabyte, the Gaming line with Ultra durable printed circuit boards and a flashed BIOS was taken as the basis. Unlike the standard version, such a graphics card has reduced power consumption, and the official warranty is reduced to 3 months. Gamers would be enraged by such tricks, but this does not particularly affect the profitability of mining, but the service life of the card increases significantly.
Miner cards marked "MI" in the name are equipped with a proprietary Windforce 2 cooling system consisting of several copper heat sink tubes and two performant 90 mm fans with a special blade design. Coolers are quite effective, but the quietest. Noise under load is within normal limits.
The rest of the line includes the once popular Radeon RX 570 and 580 level cards that we saw in the Gaming family. By the standards of 2021, the models are far from new, but still very performant. After the repeated boom in mining and the crisis in the graphics card market, they have gained a second wind and are again popular both in retail and in the secondary market. If the cryptocurrency fever does not subside, and the shortage of video cards does not subside, there is a chance that Gigabyte will release more modern models for miners in the future.
