A massive, high-performance pre-top-end gaming graphics card built on the advanced NVIDIA Ada Lovelace microarchitecture (2022, 5 nm). The main feature of this series is an improved ray tracing system and a new third version of DLSS technology with an improved image scaling system and exclusive intermediate frame generation technology. Given the high load created by ray tracing, DLSS in Quality mode allows you to compensate for the decrease in average FPS, and in some cases even increase it without a noticeable deterioration in quality.
The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card belongs to the upper part of the mid-price segment, is part of the universal Gigabyte Windforce 2024 series, in which the Taiwanese manufacturer focuses on visual simplicity and efficient cooling. The proprietary Windforce cooling system with three active fans and a massive radiator penetrated by heat-conducting pipes is responsible for heat dissipation.
The cast casing, reinforced frame, and wide backplate provide additional rigidity to the structure, preventing possible deformation under its own weight. Thanks to high performance, a separate tensor unit, and four video outputs (1xHDMI + 3xDisplayPort), the graphics card is suitable for both gaming and professional work with 3D graphics, high-resolution video materials, visual design, and AI. It supports the AV1 encoder, NVIDIA Studio software, Reflex latency optimizer, and other technologies typical of the GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics cards.

Five percent
The Gigabyte WindForce RTX 4070 OC V2 12G is the second revision of the GeForce RTX 4070, which is equipped with slightly slower GDDR6 memory instead of the original GDDR6X. However, the performance difference is only about 5 percent, which can almost be considered a statistical error. But thanks to this, the RTX 4070 with GDDR6 has become more affordable, especially in the run-up to the release of the RTX 5070 with DLSS 4 frame generation support.
Tensor cores
RTX 4070 supports the third version of DLSS technology, which allows you to increase the frame rate, if not fourfold, then at least twice. For example, from 60 real FPS, you can get 120 frames created by artificial intelligence. This functionality is provided by tensor cores, which are present in GeForce video cards, but are not yet available in Radeon RX 7000 and will appear only in future RX 9000.
Three propellers
The WindForce version is considered the most balanced in the Gigabyte line. The younger Eagle model has a higher noise level, and the older Aorus is more focused on design than performance. Despite the presence of three fans, the video card has relatively compact dimensions - the length is only 26 cm, which allows you to install it even in small cases. However, the thickness of the card is larger than standard and takes up two and a half PCIe expansion slots.
