M.2 SSD slot

Such slots are found in graphics cards with PCIe 8x connection, which are inserted into the PCIe 16x slot on the motherboard. Accordingly, half of the bandwidth of this connector remains in reserve and can be used just for connecting SSD. The location of the M.2 slot on the graphics card has its benefits: firstly, the SSD drive can receive additional cooling from the graphics adapter coolers, and secondly, it solves the problem of difficult access to the M.2 connectors on the motherboard (they are often difficult to access precisely because of the graphics card, especially in compact solutions of the Micro-ATX format).
