Garmin's Approach series includes specialized smartwatches and fitness trackers for golf enthusiasts. They feature a touch screen, built-in activity sensors, smart features and QuickFit technology for quick strap changes. With this watch, the user can find out how far he is from obstacles, keep track of the score and see the distance traveled during the game. It is said to be Gareth Bale's favorite watch.

With the AutoShot Game Tracking feature, Garmin Approach series wearables automatically capture your route while you play. A highly sensitive GPS receiver displays the exact distance to the centre, front and back of each green. With the TrueSwing Swing Sensor, the watch can read swing technique data, including swing speed and stick angle. By analyzing this data, the watch helps the wearer to fine-tune the striking technique, getting rid of subtle flaws. On top of that, the database of Approach watches is loaded with about 40,000 maps of golf courses scattered around the globe.

Smartwatches of the Approach series are equipped with colour touch displays with a diagonal of 0.9 to 1.2" with excellent readability in the sun. Depending on the chosen model, the display may be framed by a metal bezel. As befits advanced smartwatches, they support built-in profiles for running, cycling, swimming and other sports, and can also play the role of a regular activity tracker. They also demonstrate good battery life, working up to 10 days in smartwatch mode.
