Garmin Tactix watches are made with an eye on the military and include specialized modes for conducting combat operations and military tactical training. For example, they support two-format GPS coordinates and the MGRS format, the projection of waypoints and are friends with a special mode called JUMPMASTER, which allows you to accurately calculate the point for disembarkation in accordance with the specified coordinates.

In addition, the Tactix series models are able to work in invisible mode, when they automatically turn off all active wireless communications and hide user location data using a GPS receiver with a double grid of coordinates. The desire for secrecy is also evident in the design of the watch: the glass is made intentionally convex so as not to glare in the sun, and the metal parts of the case are covered with a high-strength light-absorbing carbon coating. Plus, on the monochrome display, you can turn on a special mode with minimal brightness so that the display does not shine in night vision glasses.

The set of the Tactix series watches usually includes several interchangeable straps made of ballistic nylon, and ultra-strong reinforced composite material is used in the production of the case. Usually, Tactix watches provide water resistance at a depth of up to 100 metres, and the built-in battery charge is usually enough for several weeks of operation in smartwatch mode or a day in GPS tracker mode.
