Bright display with strong battery life
The third generation of the Instinct line is a Garmin smartwatch aimed at outdoor enthusiasts. Like the Instinct 2, the model features a rugged plastic case complemented by a metal bezel, with durability confirmed by the MIL-STD-810 military standard. One of the key updates is a modern AMOLED display. The 1.2-inch screen delights with rich colors and high detail (390x390 pixels), however, touch controls are still absent.
Despite the bright screen, the manufacturer has preserved impressive battery life. In standard mode, the watch runs for up to 18 days on a single charge (or up to a week with Always-on Display). A multi-band GPS module with SATIQ technology improves power efficiency: during navigation workouts the battery lasts up to 32 hours, and in Expedition mode — up to 16 days.
Useful features for trekking and more
Garmin Instinct 3 45mm offers advanced navigation features: following a loaded route, automatic coordinate sharing in emergencies, as well as built-in sensors — compass, altimeter, and barometer. An important addition is the built-in flashlight with adjustable brightness and a red light mode.
For everyday use, the watch tracks health and activity with the Elevate V4 sensor: heart rate variability, sleep quality, snoring detection, and it generates a Morning Report on recovery and readiness. It supports Garmin Pay contactless payments, connecting external sensors via Bluetooth and ANT+, as well as a wide range of sport modes, including swimming. For this, it provides reliable water resistance to 100 m (10 ATM).
