The Garmin Vivofit JR line of wristbands was developed to encourage the younger generation to be active every day and complete tasks from parents in a playful way.
Activity monitoring
The tracker is worn on the child's wrist, records steps, physical activity time and sleep quality. That's all, because even the Garmin Vivofit JR2 simply does not have a heart rate monitor. As conceived by the developers, the wearable gadget should systematically teach the child to lead a healthy lifestyle. Subject to activity for 60 minutes. or completing tasks from parents for the child, new levels of an exciting mini-game are opened on the device.
Daily quests
Speaking of tasks, parents have the right to remotely assign daily tasks to the child. For example, do homework, wash dishes or brush your teeth. For completing tasks, parents mark stars, which the child can then spend in a pre-installed application. The number of earned stars is shown on one of the desktops of the colour screen.
Long battery life
The display of the model turned out to be quite tiny. Its dimensions are only 0.43". By pressing a single sub-screen button, screens are switched with the display of time, current date, number of steps taken and coins earned. The battery charge inside the watch lasts for a year of use. The “pill” CR1632 is assigned to the role of the battery here. It does not need to be charged — the dead battery is replaced with a new one.
