Smartphones with eSIM
eSIM
— smartphones using eSIM; it can be either the only supported type of "sim card", or an addition to a more traditional format (usually nanoSIM).Technically, eSIM is a non-removable analogue of a SIM card — an electronic module built directly into the device. To function in the network of a mobile operator, you need to make the appropriate settings in this module; this can be somewhat more difficult than changing a classic SIM card. On the other hand, several sets of settings can be stored in the eSIM at once, which allows you to switch between operators directly through the phone's software options. Another advantage of such a module is its miniature size, which allows you to provide more additional features in the phone without increasing the dimensions. At the same time, note that not every mobile network is compatible with eSIM; and although operators are increasingly implementing such compatibility, before buying a device with such a module, it is worth checking whether it will work with your network.
