The largest of all existing "iPhones" at the time of its debut in the fall of 2024. The OLED screen size of the model increased from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, while managing to reduce the bezels. The Super Retina XDR panel displays images at a maximum resolution of 2868x1320 pixels, features an adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 2000 nits (in HDR mode).
The display still features the Dynamic Island cutout, designed for the needs of the 12 MP selfie camera and Face ID sensors. The main camera of the smartphone contains a trio of image sensors: a 48 MP main, 48 MP ultra-wide, and 12 MP telephoto with five times zoom. Videos on Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB can be shot in 4K at 120 fps (ProRes or Dolby Vision), and four so-called "studio-quality" microphones are now responsible for spatial audio recording.
The model is powered by the most powerful six-core processor Apple A18 Pro with six graphics cores and sixteen cores in a separate Neural Engine block. The smartphone debuted with the Apple Intelligence generative AI system, supported by advanced Visual Intelligence visual search through the camera. The device gained support for faster wireless charging (up to 25W with MagSafe technology and up to 15W with Qi2 protocol), and its autonomy is rated with the capability to watch video for 33 hours continuously (the predecessor model had 29 hours).

Buying for 2026! This phone is better than the much-praised Samsung S25 Ultra, which really lags under heavy use! I had an iPhone 13 Pro Max before. I switched and loved it! I recommend it for 2026. 6.9 display, better battery life, studio microphones, loud speakers, penultimate iPhone model Expensive to repair (I know), even replacing the battery is shocking! Better photo quality and new camera features
The iPhone 16 Pro Max cameras are again at their best. The triple module includes a 48 MP main Fusion Camera, an ultra-wide lens with the same resolution, and a 12 MP telephoto lens. This allows you to take high-quality photos in any conditions, from macro to night photos. DxOMark rates the camera at 157 points, which allows the smartphone to remain in the TOP of camera phones. Apple also added the Camera Control button for quick access to camera functions.
Other specs include 8GB of RAM, satellite connectivity (in some countries), NFC for Apple Pay, an Action Button for programmable actions, and a 4,685mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. As before, there's no charger included.
