After the Pixel 6a, this is a significant improvement. The screen is much better quality, with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic scanner that works very quickly and accurately even through protective glass. I like the photos taken with the camera. With active use, the battery lasts only a day, but with moderate use and not too much gaming, it lasts about 1.5-2 days. Among modern A-brands, it's one of the smallest in size and weight, so it feels very comfortable in hand, though the material is a bit slippery. OneUI has many different settings, which I like even more than the Pixel's interface. A full charge takes about 50 minutes, which is not very long. One of the key improvements of the Galaxy S25 over the S24 is the switch to the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. RAM has also increased from 8 to 12 GB. Thanks to this, the smartphone handles demanding games, resource-intensive apps, and multitasking even better. Powerful hardware ensures fast and smooth performance of advanced Galaxy AI features.
Another advantage of the model is long-term software support. The manufacturer promises seven years of major Android updates—through 2032—as well as the same period of security patch releases.
An Even More Dynamic Display
The Galaxy S25 remains fairly compact thanks to its 6.2-inch display with slim bezels. The signature Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel supports an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. It delivers smooth visuals while also helping save battery power. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the body meets the IP68 standard and is resistant to dust and water.
Battery capacity remains unchanged from the S24 at 4000 mAh. Super Fast Charging technology can replenish around 50% of the charge in half an hour. Wireless charging, Bypass power supply, and reverse wireless charging are also included. The latter is useful for charging headphones, watches, and other small devices, although its power is limited to 4.5 W.
Three Cameras and Other Bonuses
The triple main camera combines 50 MP, 12 MP, and 10 MP sensors. The main module features optical stabilization, supports 8K video recording, and delivers decent image quality day and night, for still shots and moving subjects.
Additional smartphone benefits include stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7 support, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The latter recognizes touches more accurately, including when the skin on your hands is damp or, conversely, too dry.
