The processor is designed for top-end smartphones with serious potential in performance, photo and video shooting, and wireless communications (including 5G mobile networks). The chipset includes three types of cores: one Cortex-X2 (3.05 GHz), three Cortex-A710 (2.85 GHz), and four Cortex-A510 (1.8 GHz). The core composition of the SoC is identical to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, but the brainchild of MediaTek boasts higher clock speeds. The chipset uses the powerful Mali-G710 graphics accelerator and an advanced AI co-processor. Smartphones based on MediaTek Dimensity 9000 can be equipped with screens with up to 4K resolution (assuming a refresh rate of 60 Hz), LPDDR5x RAM (up to 16 GB), cameras with a resolution of up to 320 MP, Bluetooth v5.3 wireless communications and Wi-Fi 6E. The mobile platform uses load-based power optimization technology to reduce battery consumption and prevent overheating.
