The Aero ITX family is positioned by MSI's. the role of low-cost products, which are designed to create compact home and office configurations with minimal burden on the wallet. Due to their small size and compact PCB, they are a great option for simple gaming builds that do not require feats of overclocking and performance.

Due to the length of the printed circuit board, MSI selects only entry-level accelerators for the AERO ITX series, which are in no hurry to play with biceps, but also do not need special cooling - GeForce 1030/1650 or Radeon RX 550/560. However, with the release of NVIDIA Ampere accelerators, the concept of "entry level" has blurred and now in the ranks of MSI Aero ITX you can find the GeForce 3060, which formally belongs to the entry level. It has 12 GB of VRAM on board, and the total power is slightly higher than the recent flagship RTX 2080.

Such small-sized video accelerators are bought in two cases. The first is in a compact case paired with a miniature graphics card, an M.2 SSD and a processor with a single fan or a compact heatsink. Or when the interior of the current computer is so dense that no matter how you change parts in places, a large graphics card still won't fit.

The second case is when a simple “quieter than water, lower than grass” computer with silent components is assembled. An excellent option for such builds would be the old MSI RX 560 AERO ITX, which we compared with newer mid-range models. In heavy projects like Metro Exodus, it surprised us with its quietness, delivering about 55 FPS at minimum graphics settings and Full HD resolution.
