To catch up with Motorola's competitors in the smartphone market, Motorola has launched a new line of flagship smartphones Edge, which uses the heaviest "weapons" available on the mobile gadget market. For example, it was in the Edge line that we saw one of the first commercial super-smartphones with a pOLED matrix or a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip superprocessor.

Otherwise, the "gentleman's set" of a typical Edge smartphone will not give reason to regret that this is not a conditional iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. The equipment of the average Edge device includes powerful hardware with a fast processor and plenty of memory, a stylish premium case, a high-end AMOLED or OLED display with increased resolution and overclocked hertz, an innovative camera with multiple optical modules and mandatory optical image stabilization, the most current at the moment, communication modules (5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5) and much more.

The release scheme in the Edge series copies other lines of A-class smartphones. First, a fresh numbered Edge smartphone is rolled out to the public, and a few months later, a modified version with the prefix “Pro” and a slightly fat-free Edge Lite go on sale. By the summer of 2022, this cycle has already changed several times and the most relevant device is the Edge 30 Pro smartphone announced in January 2022 with the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, super-powerful 68-watt wired charging and 15-watt wireless.
