You might be surprised, but the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were in demand even when the iPhone 12 hit the shelves. Customer surveys have shown that many buyers do not need a fancy narrow aperture camera to shoot the northern lights or an 8-core processor to edit videos with holidays in 4K. Instead, people want a high-quality, high-status and reliable smartphone with a well-known operating system, recognizable appearance and a compact body that is not scary to hold in one hand. It would seem that the iPhone 6S, lagging behind the times, largely meets these requirements.

And this is not surprising, because after the failure with the regular iPhone 6, Apple engineers sat down to do their homework, fixed most of the shortcomings associated with the fragility of the case, camera software and hardware. We didn’t forget about the innovations: the iPhone 6S was the first smartphone from the company, the display of which is able to recognize the force of pressing, the camera shoots in 4K, and the display worked as a natural backlight for the front camera.

On the market you can find mainly iPhone 6S with 32 GB of internal storage. Much less often, the older 6S Plus comes across with an enlarged 5.5-inch display. The classic "six" display is only 4.7", crumbs by today's standards. In both cases, we are talking about “refurbished” or “refurbished” iPhones with discounts, since the “sixes” have long been discontinued.

We note right away that watching videos or scrolling through the Instagram feed on 4.7" is not very convenient, and the Apple A9 processor is also far from its former greatness. It’s not that it slows down, but keeping 42 tabs in the browser, while simultaneously applying filters to selfies in Photoleap, will be problematic, age affects. Well, do not forget about the relevance of the shell. Both smartphones have been updated to iOS 14, and then there are continuous questions. Six years of updates is a long cycle, even by Apple standards. But oldfags will be pleased with the good old audio output for headphones and the mechanical Home button.
