The A―series mainly includes low-cost smartphones, the F-series includes mid-range devices, and Reno and Find are responsible for the premium segment, competing with the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and other flagships. Realizing that the promising mid-range price segment is at best half covered, the management of OPPO decided to revive the OPPO K series.

The main advantage of the line is that it combines the advantages of a premium segment like a powerful hardware filling or a high–quality case, but at the same time representatives of the K series do not bite in price (approx: $280 – 350). At the same time, the equipment of devices of this class is growing day by day, and in a handset for $ 300 today you can get almost the same set that a year and a half ago was, rather, the prerogative of top smartphones. We are talking about powerful chargers, Super AMOLED displays, 5G receivers, advanced cameras consisting of several modules, powerful processors, etc.

The most relevant representative of the updated K series is the OPPO K9 smartphone, which replaced the OPPO K7 in the spring of 2021. This is a pretty powerful smartphone for $300 with 5G support, a massive 90-inch AMOLED display and liquid cooling. Under the cover of the smartphone hides a Snapdragon 768G processor, 8 GB of RAM and a capacious battery with a powerful 65W charge. A module for three cameras is installed on the back panel of the OPPO K9 5G. It includes a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide object with a viewing angle of 119 degrees and a 2 MP macro lens. As usual, the materials of the case and some unique software features familiar from the OPPO Find and Reno models became the object for saving.
