For starters, the smartphone sports a new Pro Design case, which is a sandwich of two glass panels flanked by a steel frame. The sides are now even, and not rounded as before. As for practicality, the display of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max is protected by a reinforced ceramic coating Ceramic Shield, and the case design is protected from moisture (IP68 standard). According to Apple representatives, ceramic reduces the risk of damage to the display when falling 4 times lower, and the smartphone case can withstand immersion under water to a depth of five metres.

As a flagship device, the iPhone 12 Pro Max features a stunning 6.7-inch OLED display with an impressive pixel density of 458 ppi and support for the already well-established True Tone and Haptic Touch technologies. It also displays an image in the Wide Colour P3 colour space and is friendly with HDR content, including even such an “adult” format as Dolby Vision.

Camera improvements primarily affected the Lidar sensor and artificial intelligence: thanks to neural networks, the iPhone 12 Pro learned to shoot much better at night and made friends with the Deep Fusion feature, which, using a neural network, glues several pictures taken with different parameters into one frame. All four camera modules can shoot 4K video up to 60 frames per second, including HDR video with Dolby Vision up to 30 frames per second.

On the market you can find the iPhone 12 Pro Max both with two full-fledged SIM cards (nano + nano), and in combination with “nano + eSIM” with a virtual slot for a SIM card. There are models with 128, 256 and 512 GB storage. There are 4 body colours to choose from: silver, gold, graphite and blue. Wireless charging delivers 15W only with the original MagSafe induction charger.
