A few years ago, the Chinese brand Blackview tried to win a place in the sun from Xiaomi, Oppo, Oneplus and other Chinese smartphone manufacturers. Over time, the company's leaders realized the futility of this undertaking and focused on the release of narrow-profile secure smartphones, most of which were included in the BV line. As it turned out, this empty niche was in demand by people who, on duty, have to work in adverse and harsh natural conditions.

By the end of 2021, this series already includes more than a hundred diverse rugged smartphones. A typical gadget with a BV prefix is a mid-range Android smartphone with a simple MediaTek/Snapdragon processor, a 5.5-6.3-inch IPS display, a modest dual/triple camera, and the obligatory capacious battery. In some models, the capacity reaches 13,000 – 15,000 mAh, which is three times more than most classic Android smartphones. In addition to battery life, the emphasis in many BV models is on the quality and reliability of communication, so most of these smartphones are equipped with high-quality GSM receivers, NFC, and up-to-date Wi-Fi modules with Bluetooth. Some 2021 handsets have come out with 5G.

As for protection, everything is as serious as possible here: metal frames, internal supports, additional protection plates, tight sealing of the case, reinforced protective glass, etc. Due to this, the average VB smartphone can be used at extreme temperatures, washed under running water, thrown on the floor (or at a fleeing enemy) or literally roll in the mud. And he doesn't care. At the same time, additional goodies can include an underwater camera, a Honeywell barcode scanner or a thermal imager, which makes it easier to diagnose problems with heating networks, electrical networks, water supply, ventilation, air conditioning or electromechanical equipment.
