Smartphones with slow-mo mode
Slow motion (slow-mo)
— the ability to shoot slow motion videos using the main camera of the phone. Such shooting is carried out at an increased frame rate — more than 60 fps; thus, when played back at normal frame rate, a slow motion effect is created. This effect can be used both for artistic purposes and for quite practical purposes — for example, for legible fixation of fast movement that cannot be normally perceived by the human eye. And the higher the frame rate during such shooting, the more you can slow down the video. Nowadays, there are devices with very impressive filming speeds — 480 fps and higher; they can be selected separately using the corresponding checkbox in the filters. However, note that such feature has high requirements for the hardware and, accordingly, are expensive. Also note that slow-mo shooting can only be available at certain resolutions, which are not always the maximum; these nuances should be specified in the detailed specs of each model.
