Optical stabilization
— image stabilization, carried out by a system of movable lenses. Thanks to this principle of operation, the image hits the sensor already stabilized, and when shooting, you can use the entire area of the sensor (whereas with simpler and cheaper electronic stabilization, part of the sensor remains unused). On the other hand, this feature noticeably affects the price of the camera, and therefore it is used mainly in advanced smartphones.Note that if there are several cameras (two or more, see the corresponding paragraphs), this feature is usually implemented in only one of them, and this is not necessarily the main lens — optical stabilization may be more useful for a telephoto lens.
