The Chinese brand Doogee has entered the so-called second wave of smartphone manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom, which had to fight with relatives who gained weight like Xiaomi, Oppo and Huawei. Realizing that it is useless to compete with them on their field, Doogee made a feint with its tail and threw its forces into the release of secure smartphones for people who have to work in harsh and adverse conditions. Initially, such smartphones-armored cars came out under the flags of the Titan series, then they were replaced by more real Doogee S tanks, which are not afraid of water or dirt, neither their own nor others. They easily pass the most severe tests for temperature changes and withstand drops from a small height without any problems.

This is achieved through the use of shockproof housings with additional protective plates, rubberized plugs, impact-resistant glass and additional stiffening supports. As a result, most of the tubes are IP69 waterproof, have been tested for strength according to the harsh military standard MIL-STD-810 and, theoretically, could qualify for the title of Navy SEALs. Of course, this could not but affect the dimensions: for example, the thickness of the popular Doogee S96 Pro is 15.5 mm, and the weight reaches 310 g. That is, this is the most convenient smartphone for everyday use.

However, the matter is not limited to armor alone. S smartphones strive to bring maximum benefit to their owner and are often equipped with features atypical for traditional smartphones, such as a several times larger battery, a powerful flash, reverse charging or an auxiliary connector for connecting additional accessories. In terms of hardware configuration and additional features, these are rather middle-level smartphones that lack stars from the sky, but will not annoy the owner with a lag shell, but modern toys will not pull at maximum speed either. In the role of brains, processors of the MediaTek Helio level are most often used, the amount of RAM is 6-8 GB, and additional equipment is usually limited to fast charging and an NFC for contactless payments.
