The Pegasus family includes entry-level and mid-range graphics cards with a shortened PCB and a single cooler. But if most manufacturers in such series have exceptionally low-power plugs for connecting a monitor, Pegasus GPUs do not have such restrictions, which is why popular mid-range video accelerators a la GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 4060 Ti, focused on games in resolution, are regularly found in the series. 1080p or 1440p with medium graphics and DLSS enabled.

All Pegasus GPUs are equipped with a miniature cooling system with a single active cooler. The area of the printed circuit board is almost half that of video cards with the same video core, the length of the board usually does not exceed 23 cm, and installation usually requires 2 free motherboard slots. The GPU and memory chips are covered by a thick aluminium heatsink with a minimalistic black plastic shroud. Illumination is not provided. Like models from the Phantom and Phoenix series, Pegasus GPUs support hardware ray tracing and DLSS artificial image scaling.

The Gainward Pegasus, while not offering the overclocking capabilities of the Phantom and Phoenix graphics cards, is an excellent combination of price, performance and compactness. They are aimed at users who are looking for a quiet, compact and relatively productive computer. They're also great for HTPC builds where the PC plays the role of a home media center. Despite their modest size, Pegasus video cards have all the necessary video outputs, including HDMI and DisplayPort.
