I bought it at a discount, I’m happy, I’ve been using it for more than a month, I have something to say - The battery is good for a budget option, lasts 1-2 days - The camera is certainly not flagship, but with good lighting, photos are not bad - The screen is vibrant, hasn't faded yet - The sound seems alright, not super loud like a speaker, but not quiet either; can't say for sure as I use headphones - The form, quite light although it's a big phone. Doesn't slip in hand due to the back coating - The fingerprint scanner is also absent, but there is a Face-ID scanner, though I don't use either. The follower of the tasty Xiaomi Redmi 8A causes mixed impressions after a close acquaintance. On the one hand, they increased the screen size and installed a fresh processor, and on the other hand, fast battery charging and a wired connection connector were downgraded. The display dimensions of the mobile gadget have grown from 6.2 to 6.53" diagonally. This is still an IPS-matrix in HD + format, which is “under cover” of the protective glass Gorilla Glass 5. In the upper segment of the screen, you can see a teardrop-shaped cutout, which houses the 5 MP front camera lens. Also, "in one person" is shooting on the main camera of the device, represented by an 8 MP image sensor.
Processor from MediaTek
The "draconian" processor on board the smartphone was replaced by a solution from MediaTek — a fresh "octa-core" Helio G25. But the “RAM” device got only 2 GB, so you can put an end to games from it. The amount of non-volatile memory of the smartphone is 32 GB. If there is not enough space in the internal drive, a separate slot for a microSD card (up to 256 GB inclusive) is provided at the user's disposal.
Long battery life
Now about the sad. The USB-C port was removed from the smartphone (an archaic microUSB is used instead) and fast charging of the battery was cut out. Fortunately , the battery capacity was not affected and it is an impressive 5000 mAh. Without recharging, the device calmly keeps "afloat" for 2-3 days with average weighted loads. A little more expensive than the model in question is the closest relative of Xiaomi Redmi 9C. It has a triple main camera, a slightly more powerful chipset, and even an NFC chip.
