Strategy

— games where strategic thinking and tactical planning are required to achieve specific goals. In strategy games, the player controls entire groups of units rather than a single character, while also planning the economic aspects. Typically, resource gathering, city building, and battles in this genre occur in large open spaces. Areas unexplored by the player are often hidden by the "fog of war." Broadly, there are two subcategories of strategies: Turn-Based Strategies (TBS) and Real-Time Strategies (RTS).
