The action takes place in a sci-fi setting, most of the characters are made in the appropriate style, although there are exceptions like ninjas among them. The characters are divided into three main classes, but each hero has its own fighting style and unique abilities, so that players have a wide choice of preferred tactics, and the gameplay is well balanced. The total number of game modes exceeds a dozen and a half (counting variations of the Arcade mode), they range from the simplest deathmatch for 6 or 8 participants to complex tasks that require clear teamwork. There is also a training mode that allows you to play alone against bots.

Overwatch has received very high praise from critics and the gaming community, both for its gameplay and cast of characters, as well as for its design and overall atmosphere. The game is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, it is released in several editions that differ in additional equipment — primarily in terms of available additional content, but there are also collector's editions with themed items and accessories.
