Tekken

— a series of fighting games from Namco, one of the most popular and successful in its genre. Since the first game was released in 1994, 9 more games from the main series have been released, as well as spin-offs, remasters, and even crossover games where Tekken characters can fight characters from other similar series (for example, Street Fighter).

The main part of the series includes both fighting games with classic gameplay and games with the Tag Tournament designation (there are two such games in 2019). In such games, the player can take control of a team of two fighters, each fighting against his opponent, and switch between them at any time; at the same time, health is restored for an inactive fighter, in addition, due to switching at the right time, some special moves can be turned on.

The newest installment in the desktop series as of 2019 is 2017's Tekken 7, available for PC, PS, and Xbox. Features such as Rage Art were added to the game mechanics of this part, which allows you to carry out a powerful attack during a critical decrease in health, and Power Crush, thanks to which the character can attack even while being hit by an opponent. The game received mostly positive reviews, including near-maximum ratings from many thematic resources.
