The game offers participants a large number of different characters with their own motives and backstories that led them to a life of robbery and murder. Payday provides the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of heists, including not only the typical bank vault break-ins but also robbing jewelry vaults, breaking people out of prison, and more. Currently, there are three parts of the game, the latest of which was released in the fall of 2023. Payday also has a large number of DLCs that expand the list of characters and available missions.
