The player is allowed to attend classes, explore the castle and surroundings (including the village of Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest), cast magic spells, brew potions, tame magical animals. The main plot of the game is tied to the confrontation with the goblin Ranrok and the dark wizard Victor Rookwood. At the final stage of the passage, there are two options for the ending to choose from. In parallel, the player can perform other tasks, pumping skills in magic. An interesting mechanic in Hogwarts Legacy is the ability to freely fly around on a broomstick.
