The release year is traditionally stated right in the game's title; 2012 was a kind of exception, when two titles were released — actually F1 2012 and F1 Race Stars, so as a result, as of 2019, the series included 12 games. The very first game, F1 2009, was intended for the Wii and PSP and was not very successful; since 2010, the series has been released on all major desktop platforms (PC, PS, Xbox), and consistently receives high marks from both fans and critics. Individual games (in particular, F1 2016 and F1 2018) are also available in mobile versions for iOS and Android.
