— a series of football simulation games produced by Konami, a direct competitor to EA Sports' FIFA games and one of the most successful gaming franchises both among sports simulators and in general. It has been released since 2001, and traditionally for such series, a new game is released every year, taking into account the changes that have occurred in the football world over the year. In addition to the matches themselves, there are many management elements in separate game modes: for example, in Master League mode, to develop the team, you need to train players and conduct transfers, with player characteristics potentially changing during the game depending on experience and age. It is also worth noting the extensive editing capabilities for players and teams; in particular, the latest titles feature an entire league with 18 fictional teams, allowing for the modification of all possible parameters at the player's discretion. This league in the series' games replaces the German Bundesliga, with which Konami was unable to secure licensing. Licensing is actually one of PES's weak points: in terms of licensed content, this series lags behind FIFA, and many elements (ranging from leagues, players, and clubs to kits and balls) are replaced with fictional equivalents. In light of this, the fan community releases numerous unofficial patches to rectify the situation; formally, these patches are a violation of copyright, and Konami tries to combat them in various ways, but this does not deter enthusiasts.Pro Evolution Soccer | clear | Save List |
