As is customary with Apple, after the global update of the fourth generation of the Apple Watch, the "five" became more of a bug fix. In front of us is the same smart, stylish and functional accessory with a classic rectangular case (diagonals 40 and 44 mm), in the centre of which shines an OLED display. The idea is the same as before: on the one hand, the watch duplicates the functions of a smartphone for communication, on the other hand, it is an important and useful tool for athletes and people who monitor their health.

So what has improved and from which side has "emeising" come? In the production of the OLED display, Apple used a low-temperature polycrystalline oxide, which consumes less energy than a standard organic light-emitting diode used in the production of conventional OLED screens. The Always on Display option has been added to the display settings, in which the refresh rate of the display is reduced to 1 Hz.

In addition to the ECG from the "four", the collection of built-in sensors has been replenished with a compass, which helps to determine the direction in space and more accurately determine the angle of movement. The latter will be appreciated by skiers and snowboarders. All this stuff actively collects data on physical activity and body indicators and immediately transmits them to your smartphone, helping to achieve your goals and monitor your health.

As for the filling, the dual-core Apple S5 processor, according to tradition, has become faster, and the maximum memory capacity of the Apple Watch 5 has grown to 32 GB. Considering that Apple doesn't like memory cards so much, watch owners finally got the opportunity to expand their music library. All this stuff is securely hidden inside a metal waterproof case (IP68 standard) and diluted with an NFC for contactless payments and an optional phone module with e-SIM support (we are talking about Apple Watch Cellular models).
