The watch got its name not because of the extended sports functionality (it exactly repeats that of the classic version of the third generation Apple Watch), but thanks to practical materials: aluminium case and rubber straps. Nevertheless, there are plenty of specialized tools for monitoring physical activity parameters on board the model. Apple Watch 3 Sport 42 mm can be submerged under water (the claimed depth is up to 50 m), but diving in them is highly discouraged.
In addition to the usual heart rate sensors, accelerometer, gyroscope and GPS, the arsenal of watches has been replenished with an altimeter. Training data is imported to a linked smartphone or displayed directly on a wearable gadget's AMOLED display with a resolution of 312x390 pixels at a 1.65-inch diagonal. It should be noted that the equipment of the model does not provide the presence of a telephone module, which can be found in the version with the Cellular prefix.
