The X line from the American brand Crucial includes fast and well-protected external SSDs, which, according to the manufacturer, will become an important tool in the arsenal of gamers, designers, video editors and other representatives of the creative industry. All models stand out due to their compactness and neat design, while some models are sealed in a shockproof case.

Crucial does not skimp on high-quality NAND memory and smart memory controllers, so X drives in most scenarios are on par with popular M.2 SSDs that support the NVMe protocol and the PCI-E 3.0 bus. With read/write speeds of up to 1050 MB/s, Crucial X SSDs let you access your data directly from the drive without sacrificing speed or responsiveness. Conveniently, out of the box they are recognized by all popular operating systems including Windows, Linux, iOS and Android (note: the manufacturer produces separate versions for MacOS). Moreover, you can use it on your Xbox or PlayStation console to save your favorite games.

Since the series is quite new (note: launched in the summer of 2023), the manufacturer managed to release 2 external drives in it: the basic X9 and the upgraded X9 Pro with a shockproof and water-repellent anodized aluminum case. In addition to its rugged design, the X9 Pro supports hardware-based data encryption with built-in 256-bit AES encryption. Also, the Pro version has a warranty of not 3, but 5 years. Otherwise they are identical.
