A motley line of gaming monitors from Viewsonic, which, for ease of understanding, are best divided into three groups.

The first is a gaming classic by the standards of 2021. Usually, these are relatively inexpensive IPS monitors with Full HD resolution, 24-27", 1ms response time and support for AMD FreeSync (often FreeSync Premium). To the question “which monitor should an inexperienced gamer buy?” usually advise a monitor of this class. Compared to other IPS monitors of this class, the XG models are distinguished by the presence of built-in speakers and an ergonomic stand that allows you to adjust the height of the monitor or switch it to portrait mode.

In the second category, identical XG series monitors are sent, but with one small and important change. Instead of IPS matrices, which, although they have become noticeably faster, still fall short of the reference values, they use smart displays of the TN + film class. Such a monitor can be an excellent choice for a fan of fast-paced shooters, for whom any millisecond delay can lead to gaming death.

Well, at the top of the internal hierarchy are the Viewsonic XG monitors with the Elite prefix. Usually these are expensive and stuffed models with screen sizes from 27 to 34". They stand out due to the reference colour reproduction (165 – 240 Hz), lightning-fast response time (honest 1 ms), support for HDR content and NVIDIA G-Sync feature. Additional equipment often includes a USB hub, built-in speakers, fast charging, RGB lighting, and a headphone holder.
