A rare combination of price and features
Viewsonic VX3211mhd-2K is an interesting and omnivorous monitor with an unpronounceable name, which for its $500 is capable of producing a 4K picture with excellent colour reproduction. The pseudo 10-bit matrix boasts a fairly wide NTCS colour space coverage of 95%, which will surely appeal to novice photographers, designers and video editors.
4K + HDR
The model uses a 32-inch VA panel with a resolution of 3840x2160, high dynamic contrast ratio (80M: 1) and HDR support. The combination of all these factors makes the VX3211mhd-2K a kind of unique monitor. In fact, Viewsonic has only 2 competitors in this field, LG 32UK550 and Samsung U32J590. Both options are good, but not without drawbacks. If compared with 4K IPS matrices of a similar size, then the price tag there will be at least 2 times higher.
Difficulties in regulation
Regarding the design, the monitor is made in a rather strict classic frame design. Tasteful, but no frills. A stylish branched stand, which was inherited from the Viewsonic XG3202-C 32 gaming monitor, gives a certain flavor to the appearance. Unfortunately, the stand's flexibility is limited only by a small angle of inclination. Adjust the monitor height or put it in portrait mode, unfortunately, will not work. Here, of course, they failed.
Picture-in-picture mode
Among the useful things stand out AMD FreeSync, the ability to switch to picture-in-picture mode, a pair of simple speakers and a set of modern connection ports (a pair of HDMI of the second version and DisplayPort v.1.2). For complete happiness, the only thing missing is a USB hub. However, you can do without it. More importantly, the monitor itself turned out to be cool in all respects: high-quality materials, reliable assembly, a screen with uniform backlight and no flashes.
