Beautiful and high-quality monitor, almost 32 inches, with a wide color gamut. Image detail is at a high level. No distortions or backlight bleeding in the corners. Rare combination of price and features
Viewsonic VX3211mhd-2K is an interesting and versatile monitor with a hard-to-pronounce name, which for its $500 is capable of delivering a 4K picture with excellent color reproduction. The pseudo 10-bit matrix boasts a fairly wide NTSC color space coverage of 95%, which will surely appeal to budding photographers, designers, and video editors.
4K + HDR
The model uses a 32-inch VA panel with a resolution of 3840x2160, high dynamic contrast (80M:1), and HDR support. The combination of all these factors makes the VX3211mhd-2K a somewhat unique monitor. In fact, in this field, Viewsonic has only 2 competitors in the form of the LG 32UK550 and Samsung U32J590. Both options are good, but not without flaws. If you compare it with 4K IPS matrices of a similar size, the price will be at least twice as high.
Adjustment difficulties
Regarding design, the monitor is made in a rather strict classic bezel design. Tasteful, but without frills. A certain flair is added by the stylish branched stand, inherited from the gaming monitor Viewsonic XG3202-C 32. Unfortunately, the flexibility of the stand is limited to a small tilt angle. Adjusting the monitor in height or switching it to portrait mode, unfortunately, will not work. Here they certainly missed the mark.
Picture-in-picture mode
Among the useful features are AMD FreeSync, the ability to switch to picture-in-picture mode, a pair of simple speakers, and a set of modern connection ports (a pair of second version HDMI and DisplayPort v.1.2). The only thing missing for complete happiness is a USB hub. However, you can do without it. Much more important is that the monitor itself turned out to be excellent in all respects: quality materials, reliable assembly, a screen with uniform backlighting, and no glare.
