Built-in PSU

— monitors in which the power supply is built right into the case.

Due to additional equipment in the case, such devices themselves turn out to be larger (primarily thicker) than similar models with external power supplies. On the other hand, this arrangement also has its advantages. First of all, the most common power wire goes from the case to the socket, without additional equipment on it. Thanks to this, placing the monitor in a new place is as simple as possible — there is no need to look for space for an external PSU. Moving from place to place also causes a minimum of inconvenience. And a failed power cord can be replaced with another without much difficulty and expense (whereas an external PSU may require complex repairs, and such devices are noticeably more expensive than traditional power cables).
