Mini-Jack input (3.5 mm)

— a connector used primarily as an analogue audio input for connecting external signal sources, such as a smartphone or portable player. In models with speakers (see "Additional"), the sound can be reproduced by the monitor's built-in acoustics, and in the absence of speakers, the audio signal is sent to the audio output — usually the same mini-jack connector or line interface (see the corresponding paragraphs).
