These can be models with built-in speakers, with TV tuners, large-format wall-mounted LCD panels, etc. Usually, if not all, then most of the main settings are placed on the remote control, starting from the image (brightness, contrast, colour saturation) and ending with sound, switching signal sources or TV channels, and even video playback commands.

The convenience of this function is obvious — to control the screen, you do not need to come close to it. This is especially convenient when wall-mounted, especially since monitors are often hung at considerable height. However, the remote control can also be useful for desktop placement — for example, when the device is used as TV or movie screen for several people sitting at some distance.
