Thunderbolt

— USB-C connector with support for the high-speed Thunderbolt standard (often 3 or 4), which can transfer not only video and audio but also USB data, network, and sometimes even power to the laptop through a single cable. This port allows connecting a monitor to both PCs and modern laptops (especially MacBooks), turning the display into a kind of hub: peripherals can be connected to the monitor, while only one cable runs to the laptop itself. Unlike regular USB-C, Thunderbolt offers higher bandwidth and is better suited for working with 4K/5K resolutions and heavy projects in video, graphics, and 3D. Compared to HDMI and DisplayPort, Thunderbolt is more convenient in mobile scenarios — fewer cables on the desk and more opportunities for daisy-chaining multiple monitors and external storage devices.
