The flagship cavalry sports watch Garmin Fenix 6 with all its derivatives came out back in the good old pre-quarantine days. And at the very dawn of 2022, the sky lit up with the family of the seventh Phoenixes. The base model in it is indicated by only one number "7".
Touch transflective screen
The watches of the sixth and seventh “knee” have the same case sizes and screen resolution in the respective modifications. But where the new generation is head and shoulders above the previous one is in terms of support for touch control even in the most remote corners of the menu interface. The 1.3-inch screen of the watch displays a colour picture at a resolution of 260x260 pixels and is “covered” by the Gorilla Glass DX protective glass. In the old manner, 5 mechanical buttons on the side ends of the case are also used to control the device. The visible difference between the models of the 6th and 7th series is the refusal to use screws on the bezel in favor of their moving to the places where the strap is fastened.
Guru in sports
Garmin Fenix 7 is the guru of all kinds of sports disciplines. The watch provides a never-before-seen level of detail in tracking your workouts, motivates you to reach your goals, and gives you helpful tips on proper post-workout recovery. New to the smartwatch are real-time endurance monitoring (available for all activities), metrics for visual race finish prediction, and improved outdoor geolocation tracking accuracy.
Comprehensive monitoring
The seventh "Phoenix" can also be trusted with comprehensive health monitoring. In one measurement, the watch can record the heart rate, oxygen content in the blood, breathing rate and the body's stress level. The data is “digested” into a readable form in the Garmin Connect app, where detailed sleep and activity graphs are built, highly specialized measurements for certain sports are shown, and more. Complementing the positive picture by the hour is built-in 16 GB storage, in whose memory you can download colour topographic maps of the area or playlists of music from Spotify, Deezer or Amazon Prime Music.
