Curved 4K display
In 2018, Phillips updated its monitor lineup with some inexpensive yet highly interesting monitors. One of them, the Philips 328E1CA, boasts a rare combination of a 32-inch curved sensor with 4K resolution and a seriously expanded colour gamut. We are talking about a colorful and rich picture with 99 percent coverage of the NTSC colour space or 122 percent coverage of sRGB. These are already very serious figures, with which it is quite possible to aim at professional work with colour. And when it turned out that they were asking for less than $500 for this stuff, Phillips immediately captured our attention.
modest appearance
Philips 328E1CA has such a homely, not too pretentious and minimalistic look. The base of the stand is a square ring, so to speak. The leg is made of silver-coloured powder-coated metal. In general, the design looks modern and versatile, it will fit into both the study and the gamer's bedroom. As for the matrix, according to the passport, it has an adequate 4 ms response and a slightly basic 60 Hz in the “refresh rate” column. Due to all these factors, the monitor is somewhat lacking in clarity in dynamic scenes. Especially if you already had a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor.
No weak spots
Now let's quickly go over the rest. To connect to a signal source, Display Port and a pair of HDMI version 2.0 are used. There is a standard VESA mount for wall mounting. Just in case, a couple of surprisingly good 3-watt speakers were built into the case. We do not even know what else to want for this money.
