Mobile Phones Oukitel series C (low-cost)
Oukitel C series
Second-wave Chinese manufacturers like Oukitel entered the market late and were forced to look for workarounds. In particular, Oukitel decided to take on the production of ultra-low-cost smartphones costing up to $100. Considering that the price tag plays a paramount role for many people, it is difficult to compete with such an offer even for conventional Xiaomi.
Moreover, the tubes of the C series, with all the desire, are difficult to write down in the category of smartphones for grandparents. First, they look great. This is not surprising, because the design is almost 1-in-1 copied from popular A-class smartphones. Just look at the photos and you will immediately understand everything. In itself, this factor is a serious bid for victory, because most entry-level smartphones have no place in a beauty contest.
Secondly, members of the C family are well equipped. Often in these devices you can find a camera for 2 - 3 lenses with simple optics from Sony, a USB-C port (with optional fast charging), a fingerprint scanner and even a 4G modem. As you can imagine, this is a rarity for this class. Well, in order to look as serious and modern as possible, Oukitel decided to cut out the audio output from most tubes. However, the equipment is highly dependent on the price and the full package is usually found only in Oukitel C models with the Pro prefix, which slightly go beyond the $100 low-cost.
The disadvantages of this series are the flip side of the pricing. For the sake of economy, almost all members of this family are equipped with a hardware platform with entry-level processors from MediaTek, ARM Mali video graphics and 2-3 GB of RAM. Here, if you play, then in Gardenscapes. Plus, almost all devices are equipped with frankly low-cost-grade IPS with mediocre colour reproduction and low resolution (most often 720p). Well, it’s better not to expect anything serious from the cameras. Only those smartphones with the Pro prefix are really good here. However, good cameras in entry-level smartphones are nonsense from any manufacturer.
