It differs from the original primarily in a high degree of optimization: both the system itself and many standard applications (such as Assistant, Gmail, Google itself, etc.) have been seriously redesigned to minimize the load on the hardware. At the same time, the functionality and overall user experience remained almost unchanged compared to the Android 8.1.
