Kickbacks

— this term most often means swings with straight legs back and forth with additional weights. This is the standard type of exercise for multi hip machines (see "Product type"), although it is not limited to this, and a similar way of training can be provided in other varieties of equipment. Such swings load mainly the gluteus maximus and minimus, as well as some thigh muscles. Some manufacturers also include side swings in this category, although this exercise is more correctly called lateral hip abduction (see above).
