During squats (and calf raises), the stops of the moving block are located on the shoulders of the athlete, the frame provides support for the back, and the platform at the bottom of the frame for the legs. In the leg press, in turn, an inverted body position is used: the athlete lies on his back and pushes up the movable block with the weights with his feet.
