For most people, the term "work laptop" is associated with unpretentious office laptops that are only capable of working with texts and tablets. HP laptops from the HP 11-xx series are being blown away for this segment. For people who need a more powerful low-cost laptop, HP has the HP 2xx series. If last time it was about studying, then in this case everything is focused on fruitful work.

The hardware here, usually, is for working "without brakes" ― classic 4-core Core i5 processors with multithreading are most often flashed. In the models of 2020 – 21 years of release (for example, HP 245 G8), processors from competitor AMD are used as a hardware platform. Moreover, these can be both basic quad-core Ryzen 3 processors, and much more performant eight-core Ryzen 7 chips. With such a "stone" you can quite comfortably mount video, process audio and retouch photos. In such cases, it is important to make adjustments to the amount of RAM (we are looking for an option with 16 GB of RAM) and the quality of the display. After all, these are rather entry-level models, so HP is not shy about saving on displays.

Most HP laptops are designed for employees of large companies, business owners and entrepreneurs, so they pay special attention to the configuration. A mandatory attribute for representatives of this series is a separate video output (most often HDMI), with which you can connect a projector to a laptop for a presentation. Sometimes there are things like an RJ-45 switching port or a DVD drive. Security measures typically include a TPM module and a Kensington lock. The fingerprint scanner and Face ID are practically not used.
